A Plastic Bag Free Clevedon?

One of the first things we are working on is to make Clevedon a plastic bag free town! Yes we know it's been done before (see Useful Links page to look at the Modbury website) but we think it's something that people want to do and is the right thing to do.

We started by talking to the Hill Road Traders Association about the idea. At their AGM, the committee for the association agreed to the idea.

After gaining agreement from the Traders Association, we got some 100% organic cotton reusable bags made...:

...and some stickers for shops that are going plastic bag free to put in their windows:

Look out for the publicity when the scheme starts, and please support the shops displaying the sticker. We are now in the process of rolling the scheme out to other shopping areas of Clevedon.
